What photo works best? Front-facing or profile shots both work well. Brighter, higher-contrast photos engrave most clearly. Avoid blurry or heavily-shadowed images. If you're unsure, send your top two and we'll tell you which will engrave cleaner.
Will the engraving fade? No. The image is engraved directly into the slate, not printed on top, so it won't fade, peel, or wash off.
Are the coasters safe with hot drinks? Yes. Slate is naturally heat- and water-resistant — it's been used as a coaster material for centuries, for good reason.
Can I order more than 4 in a set? Reach out before ordering and we'll quote a larger custom set.
